Consumer Math (9th-12th)

Life is filled with financial decisions, and this class will focus on the practical, every-day math that everyone needs in order to make these choices wisely and successfully navigate the adult world. This includes: checking and savings accounts, online banking, Zelle/Venmo, credit, rent versus owning, purchasing a car, measurements, saving for retirement, calculating taxes, insurance, and making a budget. We will also have a resumé and job interview workshop.

 

REQUIRED MATERIALS:
Students are required to bring their own pencils, eraser, calculator (not on your phone), textbook, and notebook.

 

Pre-requisite: Algebra 1
This class is usually taken in grades 10-12, and counts as either a math course or an elective.

 

TUITION: $300 per semester
