Literature and Writing (4th-6th)
In this class, students will dive into the world of literature and writing through stories set in ancient history. We will read a variety of texts to develop reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. Novels like Percy Jackson, The Bronze Bow, and Chengli, will allow students to experience how stories can make history come alive! This class will explore key story elements, literary devices, making inferences and predictions, vocabulary, and more.
Throughout the year, students will practice ways to improve their writing by studying sentence and paragraph structure, participating in group activities, and sharing their work with peers. This class is designed to link with the Ancient History class. My hope is to make history relatable through fictional stories, improve writing skills, and foster a love for reading.
