Mayra DiLisio
Hi! I’m Mayra DiLisio. My husband, Mike, and I have three wonderful children, Jenny, Mikey, and Sean. I started homeschooling when Mikey was in 6th grade. He’s a sophomore in high school now, but I continue to homeschool Sean.
I have over twenty years of experience teaching in traditional preschool and elementary classrooms, along with five years of homeschooling at the elementary and middle school levels. Now as a dedicated homeschool mom, I bring my love of learning and creativity into my teaching, inspiring young minds through literature, arts, and nature. I hold a Child Development Certificate, which has deepened my understanding of how children learn and grow. I believe in the power of hands-on, imaginative experiences to foster confidence and self-expression in students.
Beyond teaching, I continue to expand my own artistic knowledge by taking college-level art courses. I am inspired by nature, family time, and exploring museums – all of which influence my teaching approach. My goal is to create a warm and engaging environment where homeschool students can develop a lifelong appreciation for literature and the arts.
I’m excited to bring my experience, creativity, and love for learning to my homeschool students, helping them discover the joy of artistic expression! If there’s one thing I love more than teaching, it’s coffee!
