The Story of America's Westward Journey (4th-6th)
History is far more than a list of dates; it is a tapestry of stories about real people—some driven by faith, others by fortune, and all by the vision of a better life. In this course, students will embark on an immersive journey, following the first wagon wheels as they turn in the mud of Missouri and trek toward the sun-drenched hills of California and learn about the Gold Rush.
Along the way, we will follow the courageous footsteps of missionaries, analyze pivotal historical events, and master the geography of the great American trails. Students will create their own history journals and participate in hands-on projects.
