Shakespeare: Reader's Theater Workshop (8th+)
Let’s play with Shakespeare! Whether you’ve had experience with Shakespeare in the past or not, this class is for you! We will act out bits of his other works in order to get more familiar with his language, and we will spend most of our time enjoying the plays together (there will be no reading homework because we will do that in class). We will read parts, act out sections, watch video clips, and talk about it all!
This 1 1/2 hour class is most appropriate for grades 7 and up, but parents should always evaluate their own child’s readiness level.
We will read one play per semester in this year-long class, and we will build on the skills we’ve learned as we go. You will need a copy of the unabridged play titles and a sense of fun.
