Beginning Orchestra (2nd+)

The Beginning Orchestra class will be open to all students, grades 2 through 12, who want to begin instruction on violin, viola, cello, or string bass. No prior musical experience is needed.

Your student will go from learning the basics of their instrument to performing in a concert at the end of each semester! All students will need to bring their instrument, music stand, and instruction book with them on the first day. Instruments can be rented at many local music stores, but I highly recommend Arcadia Music for their prices, knowledge, and quality of instruments. I caution against buying that $50 or $99 brand new violin which a lot of stores sell. These are cheaply made and will cost you a fortune to make playable. I have a few violins, violas, cellos, and a bass which are available. Please contact me if you are interested.
