Nutrition: Concept to Kitchen (6th-9th)

Does your student want to dive deep into the world of nutrition? Do they want to see the connection between their food and how it affects their body? Do they want to learn how to properly prepare and cook nutrient dense foods? This semester course will combine both worlds through 6 building blocks that synergistically create optimal cellular health. Each class will begin with a lesson and  conclude in the kitchen.  

 

Learning Objectives:
By the end of the semester, students will have a better understanding of:
   – nutrition
   – digestion
   – blood sugar regulation
   – fatty acids
   – vitamins and minerals
   – hydration
