World History (High School)

Since the beginning, God created us with a natural desire to tell stories and remember the moments that shape our lives. From cave paintings to social media, people have always found ways to share their experiences—what was once their “present” becomes the history we get to explore today.

In this class, we’re going to travel through time together. We’ll look at real voices from the past through primary sources and explore cultures from all over the world. Along the way, you’ll discover how people from centuries ago aren’t as different from us as you might think—and how their stories still connect to your life today.

Students will have weekly reading assignments, and over the semester will work on relevant projects in class, including one writing project.
