World Literature (9th-12th)
The purpose of this one-year course is to expose students to people and places from other cultures through literature. Through our readings, we will gain a deeper appreciation for the diversity that exists in our world as we examine these writings in the context of their cultural and historical time periods. Students will work to improve their writing skills through a variety of assignments, both essay and creative. In addition, students will work on creative projects that will provide them with opportunities to share their own culture with their classmates.
The course is intended for students in grades 9th-12th, but middle school students who can handle the reading and themes are welcome!
This class is a-g aligned, and I have a single subject teaching credential for California.
