Jennifer fell in love with sports and competition at a young age, and was encouraged by her dedicated teachers and coaches to continue playing sports through college.  She competed in volleyball and basketball while attending Occidental College. Upon graduation, Jennifer pursued a teaching credential and worked as a math teacher and volleyball coach at Crescenta Valley High School for eleven years.  

Eventually, she “retired” from CVHS in order to stay at home with her children.  Jennifer also spent around a decade teaching volleyball classes through the Glendale Parks and Rec program.
